What we do

The aims of the institute is enabling people to realize their full potential and right to execute programmes of their development at their own by thinking together , planning together and acting together . The Institute marks qualitative shifts in the very theory and practice of development by putting people in the center stage and making them the means as well as end of development
The Institute aims promoting livelihood opportunities, education, research, training and action in the field of social welfare and social development with special attention upon unprivileged group including women, child, aged and disabled in rural, urban and tribal areas. In specific terms it will endeavor:

1. To organize educational and professional course.
2. To work as a training agency for personnel from corporate, government, voluntary sector and people’s representative of Panchayati Raj Institution.
3. To conduct research based on issues and action oriented like livelihood, social problem, Human Rights, Women Empowerment, Social Justice, Social welfare, Disabilities, Deprivedness, Population, Environment, Economic growth, Planning Development, Violence against women, Gender, Joint Forest Management, Panchayati Raj, Vocational Training for weaker sections, HIV/ AIDS and community health programme,MANAREGA, RTI etc.
4. To organize seminars, conferences, study groups, lectures and social action on social issues and problems.
5. To undertaken monitoring and evaluation studies.
6. To provide consultancy and counseling services in the fields of training, research and development.
7. To initiate innovative development projects at it’s own and to provide others a platforms to experiments.
8. To establish liaison and networking for partnership building with community groups , corporate , government ,NGOs, public institutions and media with a view to project sustain and develop people and their future.
9. To acts as a clearing house for dissemination of knowledge and information on social development.
10. To prepare print, audio –visual and other resource material for training, education and research activities.
11. To mobilize local resources in employment and income generating activities.
12. Promotion of S.H.G. and Micro-credit programme for all-round development of marginalized and socially deprived programme.

The main thrust of its entire programme remains on providing empowerment by creating knowledge, skill, motivation and capabilities for livelihood activities and a better society based on social economic and political justice.
